The best is not yet to come, the best is right now. Take the time to realize you are living the best day surrounded by the best people thats perfect for you in this moment. You can choose to live this perspective or not but it is up to you if you want to wait for an unevitable future or live in this moment. This is the only moment. This "now" moment its the only moment that we ever are living in. I know that this sounds very obvious, but we are constantly living life, thinking about the past or working towards some future. It is all very normal but take the time to feel how life isn't about being in your mind, its about experiencing the fullness of the "now" moment that we are always in. Now, I am not saying we do not need to plan ahead or enjoy our memories, I am saying that we can put in our intention and let it go so we can focus on this moment. There are many ways you can start living in the moment more: 1. Follow your impulses. Listening to your impulses is like nature's way of existing. Everything happens in perfect timing and synchronicity when you trust your gut. Anytime I have followed the most exciting or happy thought I could imagine, I have gotten impulses to do something that was exciting and enjoyable to me. The more moments you spend your life like this the happier existence for everyone around you too. 2. Take interest in everything. There is a way to be fascinated with each and everything when you really stop to "smell the roses". When you are listening to a song, take admiration in the instruments and voices and technical work put into putting the piece together. Feel the air and enjoy the breeze. Even when watching television, take time to appreciate the work put into writing or producing it and the actors dedication and efforts put to their characters. 3. Judge less. When you see someone and jump to a conclusion about them, it is coming from a past experience that you may or may not be fond of. But everyone is an individual and people are constantly changing, so pretend like you have no past experience when your seeing someone or something new. Even people you know well, do not let the past effect the way you treat them, embrace them with love and acceptance. You are living in the "now" and that's the only moment that matters. It helps to pick a day and say yes to everything! Because if this was your first day on earth you wouldn't know what to say no to and maybe it is time you get a new perspective on something you thought you knew. 4. Make connections as often as possible. An easy way to consume yourself in a moment is when you are connecting with another thing, or person. Have you ever met someone that you could spend time with them and you never realize how much time has passed? That's because you are so consumed in the moment the illusion of time seems accelerated. Even when something happens so fast but it seems like time has slowed just for that moment, it is another way living in the moment can feel like it has altered time. Something just as simple as smiling at someone walking bye, or the car stopped beside you. Touching and adoring our pets, our partners, kids, and even our plants. The more senses you can consume in your attention to something the more in the moment you are living. Living in the moment is going to help make the entire quality of life more enjoyable and fun. Things like chores will come naturally with ease. Stress levels will lower. You will even listen to impulses to take better care of yourself more easily. Just give it a try and see what happens.
